Delta Force is a shooter game for PC that took fans of the genre by storm with its realistic graphics. Being a good replacement for Battlefield and offering very interesting gameplay modes never seen before. Delta Force has been extremely popular on Steam since its open beta launch, garnering lots of good reception from FPS fans. Now the game has finally announced a date to their delayed DLC. But keep in mind, this is another Live Service title that fills the bunch, but we at Infinite Start will cover it regardless.
The Delta Force Black Hawk Down campaign will be released on February 20, that’s basically 10 days from now. The campaign is planning to bring lots of new content to the game along with an immersive story too apparently. But it feels like there will be a major focus on cosmetics and other needless Live Service driven things. Things like story and artistic expression are often unable to flourish under the guise of Live Service titles.
The cost of the DLC, where the expansion comes in, is a mystery, but there’s a big probability it will be overvalued. While the people behind the game aren’t particularly know for being so big compared to Ubisoft or EA Games, they clearly want a piece of the cake too. Team Jade delayed the DLC to ensure the quality of it by polishing every minor bug that remains.
That is at least more reassuring than other billionaire developers who just push it back to focus on other ways to extract your money. It is however important to try and remain vigilant for any sort of predatory monetization schemes that can ruin the experience for everyone. Consumers can vote with their wallet, and if any practices such as micro transactions are found, it is wise to not give a single cent to the product, no matter if it is Delta Force.
