Marvel Rivals crashes have been determined to be caused by a critical memory leak that occurs when playing the game for a while. This has been ruining multiple games and left players distraught when they lost ranked points. We at Infinite Start are aware of the inner issues and can give workarounds to not see them often.
After playing for some matches, a vast majority of players have been experiencing sudden crashes mid-game, this leads to players losing momentum during their games. When they do, that usually leads to unfair game loses due to a critical bug that has been unaddressed for months.
NetEase hasn’t given any formal announcement as to why or what will be done to solve this, however, skilled users have found the reason behind the crash. Upon further inspection, memory isn’t properly cleared whenever you initiate a match. This causes a huge tax on computer resources, slowing down the game, until it becomes so bad the game is forced to stop.
The Marvel Rivals crashes are one of the most infuriating things gamers are experiencing in this 2025. This is quite terrible for Marvel Rivals itself since this has been an issue that has been going on and on since the beginning of the game, with no hopes for fixes. However, we there’s ways to be able to reduce their frequency.
It is actually possible to be able to reduce the frequency of them by a lot, and thankfully its also quite easy to do. It is recommended that you close Marvel Rivals down once you have played an average of 2 or 3 games. Doing this will cause all cluttered memory space to be freed, allowing you to then restart the game and play some more.
However, this “fix” is far from ideal, and NetEase should be more vigilant when it comes to keeping the quality of the game intact. Instead of providing more content updates, they should be fixing the crashes. We at Infinite Start will bring you more news on the topic when it gets solved, or when a proper fix is discovered.
