JDM is a new racing experience that is clearly inspired by the amazing street racing culture of Japan. It is expected to release very soon on May 26th of 2025, and so far its looking stunning. Perhaps this will be a competitor to Tokyo Xtreme Racer which released some days ago after 18 years of hiatus. We at Infinite Start will cover what we know about JDM.
Seems like 2025 is shaping up to be a period of revival for the street racing genre. A long forgotten but terribly needed breath of fresh air to once rocked Racing sims. This genre is filled with plenty of love towards the Street Racing culture. Oftentimes made by people who was close to the scene or even participated in it.
Japanese Drift Master, or JDM for short, is a new open world based game that might take street racing to the next level. The main plan is to make a story driven single player game that players can enjoy in their free time. After years of Online Only racing games, it is amazing to see this boring trend end for once. We can expect that whatever JDM might bring to the table can change the genre for good.
The game will be based in locations of Japan, based on a fictional prefecture. However, attention to detail seems to have been put when crafting the map. It is also known that the story will be told in a manga-like format. This really adds more to detail to the game, making it feel more heartfelt than its competitors.
This stunning game made by Game Factory might be the one that can launch them forward. It is always good to see that studios that try to hear the demand for the niche can get rewarded for once. It would be neat to keep this game in your wish list to show support to them too.
