However the game launched to become a massive hit loved by fans who praised the implementation of a fantasy-based setting and similar gameplay and action to the Persona series.
Gaining over a million sales on release date, Metaphor: ReFantazio went on to become one of the fastest-selling games and also the studio’s most successful release till date. The possibly coming Atlus game based in the Sengoku era is said to be a “JRPG set in a world similar to BASARA” as explained by Hashino.
