Square Enix revealed a number of things coming to Foamstars, which includes the final season, and a collaboration with NieR: Automata.
The final season, oddly named PARTY GOES ON!, will release on Dec. 13, and run until Jan. 17, 2025. While this will be the last seasonal update, the game will remain online for the foreseeable future.
The upcoming update will feature a variety of new elements, such as the ability to “customize shots of each character,” and new enhancement elements. It was also confirmed players can select old Season Passes to obtain items from said season.
Square Enix notes the ability to swap is free, as is the previous free track, but the premium pass will remain paid. It’s not clear if there will be a discount, bundle, or simply older passes will be available for purchase.
There will also be a series of in-game events named the Foamstars Cup. This is a rename of the previous Ranked Party Lonestar series, and will rotate every four weeks.
Along with the final season is a collaboration with NieR: Automata. Options include a 2B, and 9S costume.
Both can be unlocked for free by completing in-game challenges.
