Best Spots to Grind Metal Slimes in Dragon Quest III Remake

Like in all Dragon Quest games, grinding for levels is a key aspect of the experience, and Dragon Quest III Remake is no exception. With the ability to change classes and reset your character to level one each time, grinding becomes an essential part of progressing through the game.

One of the most efficient ways to gain levels is by hunting Metal Slimes. These elusive creatures are known for their massive experience point rewards, but they’re notoriously difficult to defeat due to their tendency to escape quickly.

For players aiming to switch classes and build versatile characters, farming Metal Slimes will undoubtedly be a significant part of your journey.

Here is the best spots to grind for Metal Slimes in Dragon Quest III Remake:

SLIME HILLS

One of the best farming spots for hunting Metal Slimes is the Slime Hills, which can be found scattered throughout the world. A particularly accessible location appears around the mid-game, northwest of Alltrades Abbey.

TOWER OF TRANSCENDENCE

Another excellent spot for hunting Metal Slimes is the Tower of Transcendence. This location becomes accessible once players can reach Alltrades Abbey. To find it, simply head north from the Abbey to reach the tower.

Metal Slimes can be found specifically on the 4th and 5th floors of the Tower of Transcendence. Simply explore these floors, and you’ll encounter groups of Metal Slimes.

Best Classes for Hunting Metal Slimes

One of the best classes for farming Metal Slimes is the Thief. The Thief’s Assassin’s Stab skill gives players a chance to instantly defeat metal-type enemies, making it highly effective for this purpose.

Another great class is the Monster Wrangler, which can use the Monster Pile-On ability to deliver multiple attacks, increasing the chances of landing a hit on the elusive Metal Slimes.

When it comes to weapons, the Poison Needle is an excellent choice for taking down Metal Slimes. This weapon, which can be equipped by both the Thief and Mage classes, has a chance to instantly kill enemies, including Metal Slimes.
