The highly anticipated Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater release date has been leaked by GameStop (thanks EuroGamer). The US retailer briefly posted the date, November 17, before deleting it.
Recently, the Xbox Games Showcase displayed new gameplay footage, but no official release date was confirmed. However, a PlayStation blog has indicated a 2024 release window.
Konami has released a video hosted by Snake’s voice actor, David Hayter, detailing the game’s new features. Players will see real-time injuries on Snake, which will remain throughout the game. Additionally, Delta will offer two playstyles: Legacy Style with the original overhead camera and New Style with a third-person perspective.
Producer Noriaki Okamura acknowledged the poor reception of the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection and promised continued updates. He urged fans to hold the team accountable for delivering a high-quality game.
The remake’s visual fidelity has sparked debate among fans, some of whom miss the original’s unique style. Despite the technical improvements, comparisons show a distinct difference in tone.
