Sony revealed their PlayStation Plus Essential line up, which includes three very different picks.
Headlining the month is Borderlands 3 for PlayStation 4/5. Even if Borderlands 3 never hit the highs of Borderlands 2, it was a massive step forward in terms of gameplay. With further refinement, more avenues to gain loot, and tons of familiar faces it’s absolutely worth downloading if you haven’t checked it out in the past.
Another surprising choice is Among Us on PlayStation 4/5. At this point the franchise has dropped from its highs a few years back, but that doesn’t mean there is nothing to see. Between the wide variety of updates, PlayStation exclusive skins, and more it might just be the next go to game.
The final included game for July 2024 is NHL 24 on PlayStation 4/5. The latest entry in the NHL franchise might not be for everyone, though might be the perfect excuse to see how the experience has improved.
On July 16 PlayStation Plus subscribers will also gain a special Genshin Impact bundle. It includes 160 Primogems, 4 Fragile Resin, 20 Hero’s Wit, 30 Mystic Enhancement Ore, and 150,000 Mora.
Finally, anyone who purchases a 12-month subscription of PlayStation Plus will receive Sony Picture Core movie credit(s). The amount varies based off the tier of subscription purchased.
