EA FC enthusiasts are up in arms due to a recent patch that drastically altered the rewards players were receiving from the game’s Weekend League. Initially, participants were delighted as they secured some of the top players in the game, like the highly coveted Kylian Mbappe from the Ligue 1 Team of the Season.
The excitement built early on Friday when players noted that the league’s rewards were unusually generous. Icons such as Mbappe and Dembele were more frequently part of player picks, which was unusual for the event.
However, the joy was short-lived. EA FC’s direct communication channel announced a swift correction over the weekend. They stated that the Champions Player Pick rewards were mistakenly too favorable and had since been adjusted. This change has led to widespread disappointment, with players suggesting EA lowered the odds to push them towards spending real money on packs.
The situation has sparked significant backlash, drawing attention to what many see as recurring issues with no end in sight. EA has yet to respond to requests for comment on the unfolding controversy.
