Dragon’s Dogma 2 Reaches 3 Million Sales

Dragon’s Dogma 2 has reached a significant milestone, selling over 3 million copies in just two months. Initially, the game sold 2.5 million copies in its first week.

Capcom confirmed the milestone despite some controversy. At launch, the game included microtransactions, which caused some backlash. However, Capcom assured players that all microtransactions were obtainable in-game, a practice they have used in other games like Resident Evil.

The game also faced issues with Denuvo on PC, which might have slowed its early sales. Despite these hurdles, the game’s strong reviews and fan support helped it surpass its predecessor’s performance.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 continues to attract new players and solidify its place in Capcom’s lineup. The game’s journey reflects the dynamic nature of the gaming industry, where initial controversies can be overcome with strong gameplay and community support.
