Starfield has received its first update (v. 1.7.29) and although it’s a small one, Bethesda is already talking about bigger additions coming to their galactic RPG. The first patch to hit their newest game addresses stability issues across Xbox Series X|S and PC while also eliminating a handful of pesky progress blocking issues.
The changelog of this bite-sized update can be found at the bottom of this article. Before you scroll ahead, Bethesda also discussed the larger additions currently in the works for Starfield. The developer has been collecting feedback from the community regarding the most demanded changes, additions, etc. and they are preparing a more sizable update to begin addressing those desires through “a regular interval of updates.”
Although a definitive timeline has not been provided, we do know where Bethesda plans on starting with these impending updates. Those rocking a Nvida GPU will be happy to hear the DLSS has made the list. Despite heavily flaunting its AMD partnership, it has been revealed that there are no barriers preventing Bethesda from implementing DLSS, and so here we are.
Read on for a quick rundown of the prioritized features.
The inclusion of modding tools across all platforms, akin to that which can currently be found attached to Fallout 4 and Skyrim, is also on the way, but that does not have a release timeframe either. At the very least, we can take comfort in knowing the state of Starfield will be improving soon.
If you haven’t done so already, be sure to check out our review wherein our Editor-in-Chief found it worthy of a perfect 10/10. For those that have already read our thoughts, you can check out the patch notes for update 1.7.29 below.
