2023 is closing out with a slew of highly-anticipated titles all competing for player attention, and that’s proving to be intimidating for some. One such game is Dontnod‘s Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. To ensure that Banishers “shines brightly” upon release, it is removing itself from the already impressive lineup filling the coming months despite being fully completed and ready for primetime.
That means we won’t be venturing alongside spirit hunters Antea Duarte and Red Mac Raith until after we pass into 2024. Although delays aren’t cheery news, the team couldn’t have picked a better alternative release for their love tale.
Here’s the developer’s announcement.
Red and Antea will make their debut just in time for Valentine’s Day, offering up a thematically fitting holiday to compliment the narrative driven action-RPG from Dontnod. Both PC and current gen consoles can dive into the intertwined fates of the living and the dead on February 13, 2024.
