The Digital Xbox 360 Store Is Closing Next Year

Microsoft has now announced that the digital Xbox 360 store is closing for good next year. This might be your last chance to play some rare digital-only video games!

You can read the full announcement below from the official Xbox website.

  • On July 29, 2024, Xbox will stop supporting the ability to purchase new games, DLC, and other entertainment content from the Xbox 360 Store on the console and the Xbox 360 Marketplace (marketplace.xbox.com)
  • Related to this change, the Microsoft Movies & TV app will no longer function on Xbox 360, which means TV and movie content will no longer be viewable on your Xbox 360 after July 29th, 2024.

Bear in mind, this does not affect games already in your library. Digital games in your library will still be playable after July 2024.

If you want to play some hidden Xbox 360 gems, it’s best to buy as many games as you can before the store is shut for good.
