Michael Douse, director of publishing at Larian Studios, confirmed the upcoming Xbox Series version of Baldur’s Gate 3 will support cross-save with PlayStation 5 and PC.
For the Avoidance of Doubt, Xbox will indeed feature cross-save not only between Xbox and PC but also Xbox and PlayStation 5, thanks to our Larian accounts system.

This came into question yesterday, when Larian Studios confirmed the critically successful Baldur’s Gate 3 will release for Xbox Series in 2023. With the announcement there was only mention of Xbox Series and PC cross-save, which had some players wondering.
Super happy to confirm that after meeting @XboxP3 yesterday, we’ve found a solution that allows us to bring Baldur’s Gate 3 to Xbox players this year still, something we’ve been working towards for quite some time.

For those who missed the previous announcement, Larian Studios confirmed a deal was struck with Microsoft to get Baldur’s Gate 3 on Xbox. As expected, Baldur’s Gate 3 was given the okay to keep split-screen multiplayer exclusive to Xbox Series X due to performance issues caused by Xbox Series S.
While that might be disappointing for some, the Xbox Series version of Baldur’s Gate 3 will be identical beyond that.
