The basic Xbox Live Gold subscription model has been around since 2001, but it will no longer exist. The model will be replaced with Xbox Game Pass Core Microsoft has confirmed.
Xbox Live Gold will end in September to make way for Xbox Game Pass Core on September 14. The free monthly games are gone in favor for around 25 Game Pass games per month instead.
Some of the games include Gears 5, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, Grounded, Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, and more. Game titles will be added 2 or 3 times per year.
The Xbox Game Pass Core subscription only costs $9.99 per month or $59.99 per year. You can read more about this on the official Xbox website.
