Rhapsody: Marl Kingdom Chronicles Revealed for PS5, Switch, and PC

NIS America surprised fans by announcing a new collection, Rhapsody: Marl Kingdom Chronicles, for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It is currently set to release Summer 2023.

This edition, which is different from their Prinny Presents line, includes both Rhapsody II: Ballad of the Little Princess, and Rhapsody III: Memories of Marl Kingdom, neither of which previously released in the west.

The announcement also detailed what players can expect from Rhapsody: Marl Kingdom Chronicles.

Experience the story of Cornet, Ferdinand, and their family as it continues in Rhapsody: Marl Kingdom Chronicles on the PS5. This two-game collection marks the Western debut of both Rhapsody II: Ballad of the Little Princess and Rhapsody III: Memories of Marl Kingdom. These titles share the same storybook charm and whimsical music of the original, along with improved visuals and upgraded mechanics.

Following in the footsteps of her mother Cornet, young Kururu sets out on a journey to find a prince of her own in Rhapsody II: Ballad of the Little Princess.

This title introduces a turn-based battle system that differs from the first game, along with more songs and characters than ever before.

In Rhapsody III: Memories of Marl Kingdom, a series of charming chapters concludes the stories of Rhapsody and its characters. Experience events that occur before, during, and after the previous titles, including an emotional and heartfelt conclusion about Cornet’s mother, Cherie.

This title also comes with a new battle system that differs from its predecessors, complete with combined character attacks and the addition of a 3D camera.

Rhapsody: Marl Kingdom Chronicles releases on PS5 in Summer 2023. Voice options include both English and Japanese voice acting, with the songs remaining Japanese only.

Unfortunately, it will not include the original adventure, Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure, though it is included as part of Prinny Presents Vol. 3.
