Various users were surprised to see a new Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 advertisement appear during a break on ESPN 2. Reports indicate it was during the Arkansas Razorbacks and Baylor Bears NCAA men’s basketball match, though it’s possible there are other unreported sightings.
Following reports, reddit user Clarkey7163 looked into these reports, confirmed this trailer is real, and uploaded the footage found above. The couple second clip is meant to be a silly bumper, similar to the Horizon Forbidden West one they also found and uploaded, though many players were surprised to see the trailer mention a Spring 2023 release date.
Despite saying Spring 2023, the ad aired in Australia, meaning it’s set to release Sept., Oct., or Nov. This shouldn’t be a surprised, as PlayStation previously confirmed these months on Twitter, but seeing a marketing push strongly suggests Sony does not anticipate a delay.
