Dead Island’s official Twitter account tweeted the unfortunate news that Dead Island 2 will now release on Apr. 28, 2023 for PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One/Series, and PC.
This is surprising news for many, since the original Feb. 3, 2023 release date was revealed roughly two months ago.
No official reason for the delay was given, but the image included with the Tweet notes “We’re going to take the time we need to make sure we can launch a game we’re proud to launch.” This suggests more technical issues, than something far more serious.
In the mean time, there will be a Dead Island 2 showcase on Dec. 6, which will include a new trailer and gameplay.
