Updated: PlayStation Stars Campaign Guide For November 2022; Bonus Reward for Returnal Players and PlayStation Eye Owners

Now that Oct. is behind us, PlayStation Stars has updated revealing a number of new campaigns. This month is very different from last month, suggesting we will see more variety than a set rotation.

For collectibles, there is an arcade machine for playing Guilty Gear Strive, Dragonball Fighter Z, Street Fighter V, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Mortal Kombat 11 or Tekken 7. We can also confirm loading any of these games will immediately unlock the reward.

Anyone looking for bonus points have two missions they can complete. The first gives an additional points for purchasing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II – Cross-Gen Bundle, New Tales from the Borderlands, Brewmaster – Beer Brewing Simulator, Gotham Knights, PGA 2K23 Cross-Gen Edition or the PlayStation 5 version of NHL 23. In addition to that, Nov. is the first month to award points without spending money. Players earn 75 points by using Remote Play for 20 minutes.

Finally, Returnal players can earn an additional reward for killing the first boss, Phrike. This should instantly unlock for anyone who previously completed the task, and while reports have not confirmed it, appear following Phrike’s defeat for newcomers. After unlocking, playing any game will instantly unlock the figure.

For those on the fence, this is a pretty doable task. The first boss can be defeated in roughly 30 minutes, it just depends on how skilled and lucky you are. Given all the quality of life changes, there really isn’t a better time to give it a try.

While this covers all currently known challenges, make sure to check back to see if any limited time or other conditional tasks are discovered.

Update: Earlier today Sony added two additional campaigns for this month.

Similar to last month, there is a Nov. check-in quest. This is completed by playing any game and gives another Tyrannosaurus Rex collectible. In addition to that, select players were given a special PlayStation Eye campaign.

Based off the description this is a bonus for PlayStation Eye owners. The exact conditions to unlock are unclear, some have reported they owned one and played games with it and still don’t have it, but we can personally confirm getting the collectible. Like other optional campaigns, this unlocks after booting any PlayStation 4 or 5 game.
