Platinum Games finally issued their statement on the ongoing Bayonetta 3 voice acting controversy.
Instead of focusing on their side of the story, Platinum Games thanked everyone involved with the franchise, agreed with Jennifer Hale’s statement, and requested players refrain from comments that disrespect Hale or anyone who involved in the series.
If you haven’t kept up with the ongoing Bayonetta 3 voice acting controversy; it started last week when Hellena Taylor tweeted a series of videos explaining why she wasn’t involve with Bayonetta 3 and called for players to boycott the series. There were a few notable details in her videos, with the rate of $4,000 to voice the whole game standing out.
Shortly after, former Kotaku and current Bloomberg journalist, Jason Schreier, found out through sources close to the issue that Taylor was supposedly offered roughly $15,000 through five sessions at four hours each.
It’s hard to say what, if any, developments will take place in the future, but make sure to stay tuned in the event something happens.
