Two New MultiVersus Characters Revealed Ahead of Season One Update

Earlier today, MultiVersus Game Director, Tony Huynh, mentioned the season one update will change the title screen to reveal two currently unannounced characters. There was a lot of speculation as to who these characters could be, with the characters ultimately being revealed by Microsoft pushing out the new image hours before the update.

MultiVersus leaker, InTheShade, shared a decent quality version of the upcoming title screen, which shows Black Adam and Stripe.

For those unfamiliar with these characters, Black Adam is Captain Marvel’s archenemy, who also activates his powers by uttering the words Shazam. While his inclusion is hardly a surprise, given Warner Bros. is releasing his movie in Oct., it is interesting they went with the comic accurate version instead of modeling him off of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who plays him in the movie. As for Stripe, he is from the Gremlins franchise, where he played the antagonist of the first movie and secondary antagonist in the second.

While no further information about these characters is known, the season one patch notes were released. According to the article, the patch will appear in two parts, with the first going live later today and the second part sometime in the next couple of days. It offers a lot of balance changes, which should be nice, along with adding the foundation for Morty, who releases on Aug. 23.
