Depending on how you started your adventure, Beastman of Farum Azula might be the first boss you face in Elden Ring. The intimidating creature looks harder than it is, with the fight against the wolves outside its room being far worse. Still, a couple of mistakes is all it takes to fall, so let’s talk about how to defeat Beastman of Farum Azula.
Since this is one of the first bosses, there really isn’t much you can do. There is an enemy camp ahead, plus some warriors around the cave, which are good for collecting cash to buy supplies. It also helps to have as many options as possible, so if you lack magic, make sure to go in with just health. It also doesn’t hurt to upgrade your weapon/gear, as this will increase your chances of victory.
The best tactic for the Beastman of Farum Azula is to hold back and learn his pattern. The best way to describe it is, every attack that looks like the last one, has another after it. For this reason, let him attack, wait for an opening, take a couple of hits and then retreat.
Anything more than two will likely result in getting hit, as he will commonly do a quick attack at this time. Outside of that, if he jumps, you need to dodge it to prevent taking damage. This can be hard to time but good to know that it’s more of a pass/fail type of attack.
