With remakes, reboots and remasters becoming increasingly common, with the iconic Nintendo 64 game, GoldenEye 007 being among the most requested. At this point many gave up hope, but True Achievements recently added GoldenEye 007, suggesting that a new title might be in the works.
The listing gives the title a full 1,000 GamerScore, more than the previously cancelled Xbox title and falls in line with Microsoft’s current policies. Two users, both from England, have achievements from the title, suggesting it’s fairly far along or possibly even complete and being held back for whatever reason.
Unfortunately, while this is more of a rumor, things like this happen on both sides fairly often. A game will be listed, sometimes months before release, on PlayStation or Xbox servers. Occasionally these games never happen, for one reason or another, so this could be our first clue it’s happening, an early posting that might go south over license issues or a tease of something else. Time will tell, but it will be interesting to see where this one goes.
