Shaquille O’Neal Gives 1,000 PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch Consoles to Underprivileged Children

While holidays have changed a lot the past couple of years, Shaquille O’Neal stepped up and gave away thousands of consoles and bikes to underprivileged children in Georgia elementary school.

The news was revealed in a Podcast interview between Gary Vaynerchuk, better known as GaryVee, and O’Neal and transcribed by EssentiallySports:

My father was a drill sergeant, my mother just was a hard-working woman. They had little, but they taught me the value of giving back. They taught me the value of helping those in need. I called you know, my friend from Nintendo Switch. Ordered about 1000 Switches and 1000 PS5s. I went to Walmart and got bikes. So you know yesterday, at this little elementary school in McDonough Georgia, kids were crying, kids were happy. And that’s what it’s all about.

This is far from the first time O’Neal has done something like this. Over the years a number of stories about the star noted other acts of generosity, be it something like this or just someone down on their luck, acting as a good reminder of the good some people do.
