Rainbow Six Extraction Tips For Successful Missions

Starting a game like Rainbow Six Extraction can suck. There are all kinds of small details that can be the difference between dying on the first level and beating every objective every time. Through hours of trial and error, here are the best Rainbow Six Extraction tips we discovered.

Rainbow Six Extraction Tips For Successful Missions

Map Tells You How Many Supply Cases There are

Mistakes can and often will happen. It doesn’t take much, even a small error on the lowest difficulty can leave you in a critical state, making health invaluable. However, finding these supply cases can be dangerous, problematic, and sometimes cause more problems than they’re worth.

When bringing up the map, you can actually see which supply cases are still on the map. On the bottom left there is a small area that mentions how many health, ammo and so forth cases exist on the map. Extremely useful to know if there is even health to find or what supplies you can bring to the next area.

Stunning Destroys Blinding Spores

There is no enemy more interesting than blinding spores in Rainbow Six Extraction. The little enemies will appear in the most random spot, can be used to cheese a number of studies, invaluable for free points, and a huge annoyance when the mutation has them on enemies.

An easy way to deal with them is to shoot them, but another far simpler tactic is to throw a stun grenade or use something like ELA’s Grzmot Mine. This will destroy all of them instantly while giving you bonus points for vaporizing them.

But, what makes this tip next level isn’t that stunning kills them, it’s that you can throw a stun grenade at yourself and destroy them if they attach. This is one of the quickest ways to remove them, works solo, and is extremely useful at high-level play.

Defense Can Often Beat Offense

While Grzmot Mines, paralyzation, and stun grenades work in a similar way, smoke is another unexpectedly useful tool. Where they help the most is with extremely annoying Chimera threats, such as elites or notable enemies like Tormentors.

Most of these enemies can be defeated by hitting them with a smoke bomb and rushing for a quick takedown. I’ve legitimately finished certain objectives in seconds by just tossing a grenade and rushing.

Master What Makes Your Operator Useful

The best teams are more balanced. Being able to point out threats, overcome massive odds or just kill things are helpful for every team. Where many fall behind is assuming level and desire beat out another useful skill. Every team might not need a doctor or area denial, but it is good to know how to use your abilities in each and every situation.

Picking Up Ammo Reloads Your Gun

This might not be the most useful tip, but certain guns, such as the LMG-E, have extremely long reloaded animations. By picking up ammo, you can enjoy your 150 shots and keep the fight going without worrying about the massive reload time.

Melee is More Defensive than Offensive

If you’re ever worried about an enemy coming too close or getting overwhelmed, you can often melee and gain a brief window to regroup. I commonly use it to reload and it works extremely well. Mastering this will be key to overcoming all the obstacles that exist in Rainbow Six Extraction.

Opening the Door to the Next Area is Great for Resources

Mistakes happen, sometimes multiple Tormentors appear, a few times you’ll get overran by various threats that you just aren’t at 100 percent. In the event that happens, don’t be afraid to open the door to the next area. This will often have ammo and other supplies, which can be used to complete the current objective. Just keep in mind, not will lock out the previous one if you open the next door.
