After months of fans asking, Capcom has finally confirmed Monster Hunter Rise will not support cross-save when it launches on PC Jan. 12, 2022.
According to Capcom, they found there were unable to implement the feature for an unspecified reason.
Naturally, this was disappointing news for anyone looking forward to bringing their Monster Hunter Rise character from Switch to PC or simply use the two platforms for the best of both worlds.
While that is the official reason, it’s important to note Monster Hunter Stories 2 does not officially support the feature either. However, User AsteriskAmpersand was able to implement this feature via a program, with the only downside being it only works with a hacked Switch. It does show the feature should be possible, though what, how and why is anyone’s guess.
Currently Monster Hunter Rise is set to release on PC Jan. 12, 2022, with the Sunbreak expansion set to release Summer 2022.
