Far Cry 6 – How to Change Gear Appearance (Transmog)

Dani Rojas’ life, and arguably the lives of everyone embedded in the entire revolution, is counting on our Yaran rebel being equipped with the best gear. That gear comes brimming with multiple perk-imbued clothing pieces and deadly weapons. While it’s important to put on the gear that best suits your preferred playstyle and the situation at hand, that doesn’t have to be at the expense of Dani looking their best.

Far Cry 6 has included a transmog system to empower players to give Dani great-looking threads without sacrificing those crucial skills. That means you can enjoy a poison-free lifestyle with that hazmat gear while looking like you are exquisitely dressed in the pristine white suit of the Vice Pack DLC. Here’s how you do it.

How to Change Gear Appearance with the Transmog System

To change the appearance of any item of clothing, hover the desired clothing and click the “Inspect” button. The next screen will show an eye icon with rotating arrows labeled Appearance at the bottom-left of the screen. Click this, too. The following menu allows the application of any gear’s appearance provided you have already unlocked that piece of gear through purchase or exploration.

As long as the item piece doesn’t have a lock icon over it, you can select Equip and continue with your transformed gear. Now you can mix and match clothing sets or maintain a fixed look throughout the Yaran revolution. Make your Dani fit your style.

Far Cry 6 is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
