Monitoring framerate in PC gaming is nothing new. Numerous launchers have embedded the ability to view FPS in their framework and there are several applications that can provide an overlay where digital platforms fail. Given that Diablo II: Resurrected is tied to the Blizzard App, a launcher without the aforementioned ability to display the framerate over its games, players may wonder what options are available to them without resorting to alternative options, such as the ever-popular RivaTuner.
You might be surprised to learn that Diablo II: Resurrected has a built-in option for displaying framerate as well as the ping, for those looking to gather additional information on their online sessions. Oddly enough, the function isn’t tucked in the options menu as an easily toggled selection. You will need to look elsewhere for this semi-hidden info.
In order to display the framerate and ping in Diablo II: Resurrected, open the text box by clicking Enter and type “/fps” without the quotation marks. Hit Enter one more time and the two performance details will appear in the top-left corner of the screen. That’s all there is to it. Now you can proceed forth with a better idea of how your rig and network are handling the remake.
Diablo II: Resurrected is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
