While many gamers are excited to play The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, which releases tomorrow, those looking for the amiibo might be out of luck.
Nintendo gave word to IGN that the Zelda & Loftwing Skyward Sword amiibo was hit with an unforeseen shipping delay. As a result, only a “small portion” of the intended figures will reach consumers on Jul. 16, with the rest slated for release sometime in Aug. 2021.
This will be a blow for many, due to the amiibo unlocking the ability to save anywhere in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD. It might not be a massive feature but one that can potentially save a bunch of time or allow for experimenting with different play styles.
On a high note, the same article confirmed there is no such issue with the other figures, meaning if you’re having issues snagging the Monster Hunter Stories 2 or others, that is simply bad luck.
