Housemarque revealed Returnal patch 1.4.1 is set to release later today and will feature a couple of quality of life updates. Unfortunately, said patch does not add the often requested save feature but does offer some nice quality of life updates.
Returnal patch 1.4.1 notes:
Platinum: “Atropian Survival”, “Welcome Home”, and “Sins of the Mother” Trophies can now be unlocked by replaying the Act 3 ending
Daily Challenge: Fixed a rare issue where players might be unable to complete a Daily Challenge in the Fractured Wastes
Daily Challenge: Fixed an occasional issue with incorrect loot spawning in the Daily Challenge
Fixed an issue which could cause save-game corruption in rare circumstances
Fixed an intermittent visual issue when scanning new items

Even though the update seems rather lackluster, fixing Sins of the Mother is a massive win for trophy hunters out there. While Atropian Survival and Welcome Home can quickly be earned in a new cycle, Sins of the Mother previously required a full play through and also finding the items needed for the true end.
