FPS Boost feature now supports a total of 97 titles

Microsoft announced today that its FPS Boost feature for Xbox Series has now reached a total of 97 titles, with a plethora being added today on their list.

FPS Boost is a feature from Microsoft that allows select games to run at either 60 or 120 frames per second without the need to totally remastering it. With higher frame rates, games are visually smoother, resulting in more immersive gameplay.

In some instances, Microsoft has to work with developers because there are higher graphic requirements to enable FPS Boost Technology, and developers have to reduce the game’s resolution to ensure it both runs smoothly and plays great. In those cases, FPS Boost is not automatically enabled for Xbox Series X gamers and they have to manually turn it on from the game’s settings.

To experience FPS Boost and to be able to toggle the feature on and off, make sure your console has taken the latest update and you’ve rebooted your console.

To see if the game you’re playing is running FPS Boost or Auto HDR, you can also now just tap the Xbox Button on your controller while in the game and you’ll see a Guide overlay indicator in the upper right corner if the features are enabled or not.

Some of the notable games that received an FPS Boost are The Elder Scrolls Skyrim, Anthem, Assassin’s Creed III Remastered, Battlefield V, and more.
