Today THQ Nordic posted a forty-eight question FAQ regarding Experiment 101’s debut game. With Biomutant being just six days from release, fans have been clamoring with questions and it seems that the folks over at THQ Nordic has heard their cries.
Over the course of the past few weeks, staff members from THQ Nordic have been collecting questions from the most active fan communities. The incredibly lively discord channel has quickly grown to well over one thousand active users, including THQ employees.
Over on the Biomutant subreddit, rumors, speculations, and outright leaks have been spreading causing mass confusion amongst the soon to be player base. And while the forty-eight question FAQ doesn’t answer every question, such as whether or not PS5 and Xbox Series X/S will support native 4K, many other questions have been addressed. Questions such as:
How will classes work?
Each class has 5 exclusive class-specific perks;
The Mercenary’s perks are a mix of different classes’ perks.
The Psi-Freak additionally has the Spark Ball mutation unlocked from the beginning, which is exclusive to that class (a sparky form of the fiery Sizzle Ball).
Other questions address the technical side of Biomutant such as if there is ultra wide support, or if you can turn off motion blur and depth of field, or even if there will be any mod support.
There are still several questions that we would like answered though. For example, how do we unlock the tribal outfits for each tribe in a single playthrough? Can we unlock the Jagni armor without actually allying with them? What is the level cap in Biomutant?
Earlier this month, on May the fourth the be exact, THQ Nordic let their nerd flag fly paying tribute to one of the biggest franchises in pop culture. The “May the Furrth” trailer was a sight to behold. Granted, if you are not a huge Star Wars fan, then there is a good chance that the similarities between the “May the Furrth” trailer and first official trailer of The Last Jedi may (see what I did there?) have gone over your head.
Either way, the hype train surrounding Biomutant is blowing full speed ahead. There are a lot of people rooting for the rookie developer. From what we’ve seen of the trailers, early access streams, and hands-off gameplay footage, it’s shaping up to be one of the most anticipated games so far this year.
