RuneScape: Dragonwilds Prepares Upcoming Update with Significant Fixes

Jagex, the seasoned developers behind the classic MMORPG RuneScape, have provided a glimpse of the upcoming patch for their new survival crafting release, RuneScape: Dragonwilds. Even though the title hasn’t been live since April 15th, 2025, the devs are already preparing to perform feedback from players and introduce significant fixes in an attempt to improve the early access experience.

As preview notes uploaded on the game’s Steam page indicate, one of the major problems that include Velgar’s meteors clipping through player-built roofs is going to be fixed. This specific nuisance has surely been a pain point for players laboriously building their bases, and the impending patch indicates Jagex’s dedication to beefing up the core gameplay loop.

This change to Velgar’s attacks comes after a prior patch that had already minimized the battle with the dragon general. Those changes earlier restricted the amount of meteors called in from five to two and restricted poison breath attacks to strafing, which shows a clear desire to balance the challenge and present equitable challenges for players to explore the wasteland of Ashenfall.

Aside from the meteor patch solution, the following patch will also roll out another long-awaited feature: cloud saves. Cloud saves will bring with it a sense of security and ease that gamers have long been looking for, enabling them to seamlessly switch devices without worrying about losing their painstakingly achieved work.

In addition, the update will also address a chain of little problems, such as stability fixes, tweaks to immunity mechanics and experience point scaling, typo corrections in the game journal, and a fix for a previously known bug that was resulting in quest completion failure for full inventory players. These little, but important, patches are evidence of the development team’s focus on detail and commitment to refinement of the overall player experience for RuneScape: Dragonwilds as it progresses through early access.
