Millions will switch to Steam OS when Windows 10 reaches EOL

Many will switch to Steam OS, yet they don’t know what’s in store for them. Not many know, but if you have a Steam Deck, you are actually playing on a Linux machine. If you own a smartphone, who almost everyone sadly does, you are also running Linux. Steam OS is actually a Linux distribution based on Arch Linux, nobody can escape software freedom. You can always go even more free if you just push an unpopular Linux distribution into your PC, you can still game just fine. Valve will be dropping this distribution in the near future, in fact, you can already play around with some older, less stable versions. However, its better to wait for the official release made for non-tinkerers, in case you want an out of the box experience. In my opinion, there’s better ways to go around doing the Linux switch. Linux Mint happens to be the most user friendly distribution so far, and installing it is a breeze, Arch also got very easy to install too, you can just run a script.

That really saves me from the headaches that the original installation method gave but hey, at least the tech experience, I can make sure I have that. CachyOS is arguably the best of both worlds, appealing to both tinkerers and non tinkerers, it is the definitive distribution for easily fine tuning every aspect of your PC build.
