Microsoft is firing yet another batch of workers from their company. Usually, jobs in the chopping block are those that they deem “unnecessary”, the irony is that when people aren’t around for those positions, things deteriorate. With the rise of regurgitative “AI”, many suits are taking the funny and horrifying decision to lower efficiency in favor of money, or that’s what they think. “AI” slopware is quite the expensive thing to maintain, despite what all the tech bros might tell you. They also said they want to keep some sort of carbon neutrality on their comprise with the environment, poor are the souls who buy onto that lie. We at Infinite Start will cover this layoff.
Around 3% of people have been cut from the company, with more jobs to follow down the line. Microsoft only sees money and infinite growth, much to the like of any other company in the capitalistic world. More specifically, management layers are being removed, which is quite the dangerous position to axe since it often lowers quality when you do. However, these companies will convince you that the lower quality things they produce now are better than their previous products who did the job.
Microsoft is the king of shrinkflation, their last operating system that worked perfectly being Windows 7. After that, they have been hellbent in spying everything you do on your PC, to the point of taking periodic screenshots of everything you do in Windows 11. This is terrible for user privacy, and all of those processes could be used to optimize the system and benefit the user.
Here comes Linux, the free and open source operating system that you actually configure in any way you desire. With Linux, there has actually been reported upgrades during gaming, thanks to its bloat free approach that defines the Unix design philosophy. Sometimes less is more, and this is slowly proving to be truth in almost everything, no need for new tech when old things just worked.
