Honkai: Star Rail to Get Fan Favorite Yae Sakura

Honkai: Star Rail, one of the most popular sci-fi role-playing games created by HoYoverse, is said to prepare for a major new character to join its cast of characters. Recent leaks show that fan favorite Yae Sakura from the series of Honkai Impact 3rd will make her debut in Honkai: Star Rail after the Version 4 update.

HoYoverse has had a history of re-imagining Honkai Impact 3rd characters in Honkai: Star Rail. Fan favorites Raiden Mei and Bronya Zaychik were re-imagined as Acheron and Silver Wolf, respectively. Even Welt, one of the main characters in Honkai Impact 3rd, makes an appearance in Star Rail. The addition of Yae Sakura will be following the same trend, pleasing fans from both games.

The leak, provided by well-known HoYoverse leaker Luna, shows that Yae Sakura will be a playable character after the game’s next playable world comes out. How this iteration of Yae Sakura will be presented is uncertain whether it will be a new character based on her Honkai Impact 3rd counterpart or if it will be the same character jumping between worlds.

This is not the first time that Yae Sakura has appeared in a different HoYoverse game. Genshin Impact also includes Yae Miko, Inazuma version, and Raiden Shogun, the Genshin Impact counterpart of Raiden Mei. HoYoverse, of course, gives its original characters new versions, like the Chrysos Heirs, with their Honkai Impact 3rd Flame-Chasers counterparts.

Before Yae Sakura’s possible release, Honkai: Star Rail has a few interesting updates lined up. Version 3.3 will be coming out this week and will include Hyacine and Cipher as playable characters. The much-awaited Fate/Stay Night collaboration will also come out during Version 3.4.

With these upcoming releases, Honkai: Star Rail’s cast will grow considerably. Adding Yae Sakura, especially in high demand among the fans, also reinforces the relationship between Honkai: Star Rail and Honkai Impact 3rd.
