The employment listing specifically states “Story Integration in Multiplayer Systems” and deliberately includes the terms PvP, PvE, matchmaking, and live service. This has made most people assume that the sequel may indeed feature online multiplayer elements and possibly incorporate narrative components into these play modes.

While the idea of dueling other witches and wizards or fending off magical threats with friends could be exciting for some, others prefer to take things more slowly.
