GTA 6’s Second Trailer now Officially the Biggest Video Release of all time with over 475 Million Views in it’s First Day

Even though it’s still around a year before GTA 6 actually arrives, Rockstar’s Open World Juggernaut of a game is already creating new records and sending shockwaves throughout the entertainment industry as it’s recently released second trailer has now been confirmed to be the biggest video launch of all time.

Trailer 2 for GTA 6 has hit a staggering 475 million views across all platforms on just it’s first day, and that number is way bigger than all other movie trailer launches in history including Deadpool & Wolverine’s 365 million views within first 24 hours and The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ 200 million. Those numbers pale in comparison to the overall views of GTA 6’s trailer 2 which goes to show the massive interest in the franchise not just from the gaming community but even from the general audience as well.

Also, the song featured in the second trailer which is ‘Hot Together’ by The Pointer Sisters has seen a phenomenal spike in Spotify streams after the release of the trailer. The 1986 tune has shot up a colossal 182,000% in the two hours following the trailer’s premiere alone.

“Grand Theft Auto cuts through popular culture like almost nothing else,” Spotify’s Global Head of Editorial Sulinna Ong said in a statement. “Music has been synonymous with the series since the very beginning, so it’s great to see fans both new and established connecting with an iconic track in this way.”

In contrast, the first trailer for GTA 6 saw a total of 93 million views on its first day and became the biggest non-music video launch of all time on the platform which is a great accolade by itself. And trailer 2 is currently up to 92,095,025 views as of the writing of this article.

The recent trailer 2 has also made it abundantly clear that Rockstar’s in-house RAGE game engine has surpassed the mighty Unreal Engine 5 by delivering what’s easily the most lifelike looking visuals seen in a videogame yet. The Unreal 5 has so far been the reigning champion of videogame visuals but none of the games featuring the engine can stand up to the insanely photorealistic visuals showcased by the second trailer of GTA 6, at least for now.

GTA 6 is slated to be released on May 26, 2026 for Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
