Speculated hearsay indicates Anakin Skywalker is making his way into Fortnite’s continually growing universe sometime shortly. The legendary character will function as an unforgiving boss NPC while playing Fortnite in “Galactic Battle” mode, according to insider intel. This coincides with getting ready for the forthcoming May 15 update, because this will drop a variety of new content into the Fortnite x Star Wars union.
The “Galactic Battle” season, which kicked off on May 2, has already added a trove of Star Wars content to Fortnite, including Star Wars-themed spacecraft, weapons, and areas. The next update will add more to that in the form of General Grievous as a playable character skin, new missions, and hopefully the addition of Anakin Skywalker as a fearsome enemy.
Leaks from one player, Loolo_WLRD, have revealed that Anakin won’t just be an NPC but will also be a boss character players will be fighting. Besides this, there’s rumor about an “Anakin medallion” that players will be receiving after killing him, just as in the rest of the game’s boss battles. Leaked information also indicates that this new manager, whether Anakin or another Star Wars character, will be able to spawn minions in the form of Stormtroopers, bringing an added level of difficulty to these battles.
Though information on the “Anakin update” is limited, Fortnite fans are abuzz with rumors. With the “Galactic Battle” season concluding on June 7, any update that features Anakin would probably have to occur comparatively soon in an effort to leave sufficient time for players to get a feel for the new content.
The May 15 update is most anticipated by Fortnite players, and it may prove to be the last big update for the “Galactic Battle” season. Players and fans should keep an eye out for more leaks as well as formal announcements as the update approaches.
