Following a quick community complaint response, Blizzard Entertainment launched Diablo 4 Season 8 with a hotfix regarding players’ complaint about grinding to get endgame material. The patch came out immediately after Diablo 4’s Season 8 launch date, April 29, introduces massive changes into earning Reputation in a series of things that players can accomplish in-game.
The first response to Diablo 4 Season 8 was negative, with players not happy at the amount of time spent leveling up and what they perceived as a drop in the rate of rare drops, especially early on in the game. In response to these problems, Blizzard has moved fast to fix these problems.
The new hotfix introduces phenomenal increases to Reputation rewards. World Bosses reward 2,000 Reputation for a kill, a phenomenal jump from the earlier 250. Lair Bosses reward 1,000 Reputation, up from 750, and killing Belial, Lord of Lies, rewards 1,500 Reputation, up from 1,000. Blood Maidens also receive a phenomenal increase, rewarding 1,000 Reputation per kill from 250. Normal Bosses reward 750 Reputation, a phenomenal jump from the earlier 250.
The hotfix implements these alterations to assist with speeding up players’ progression on the Seasonal Reputation board, making the experience less grind-y for Season 8. With the changes to Reputation included, the hotfix also scales back Apparition Incursion Bosses’ health, specifically at lower ranks, in an effort to benefit players who were having a harder time.
Blizzard’s timely reaction is a demonstration of dedication to addressing the players’ concerns and delivering an improved experience in Diablo 4 Season 8. Further in the future, the players can anticipate more patches and updates as the developers continue working on refining the new content. Diablo 4 also stands a chance of making an entry on Nintendo Switch 2.
