Concord’s commemorative wall plaque bid is over $3000

Concord was one of the biggest failures in live service history, showing that nobody really wants more of them. PC gamers are in fact tired of having to deal with a barrage of slop from greed publishers who do not want to make quality games. The only reason live service titles exist in the first place is to siphon money out of the pockets of the new generation of gamers, who claim that old games can’t hold well to today’s standards. This meek new generation is leading the hobby into a treacherous path. We at Infinite Start will cover this crazy bid happening.

Concord is just a collectible memory

Despite the massive failure of Concord, collectibles will always remain collectibles, especially after such spectacular failure. Like it or not, Concord’s fail will be an important piece of video game history, as it marks the crash of Live Service titles. Similar to the Atari crash, the Live Service crash implies that Live Service titles aren’t worth to invest into anymore. Smart investors will fund other things that aren’t the entertainment medium, as value in it can be quite chaotic.

The only reason the medium is in its current state, is because investors and corporations have assaulted our hobby, draining every drop of fun it tried to convey. Currently at Goodwill, you can buy a plaque given to a developer of Concord, who wanted nothing to do with the project anymore. Its currently sitting at a very high price, and some speculate it can launch up to around $10.000 dollars.

This is quite the crazy price, but considering the rarity of what we are witnessing, it feels like it properly represents the object. Thankfully people will be able to snag it and actually get to preserve the contents that are inside, so we can never forget the history of gaming’s biggest failure.
