ConcernedApe aims to release Haunted Chocolatier by 2030

ConcernedApe is still keen on working in Haunted Chocolatier, this is yet another one of his passion projects, just like Stardew Valley was back then. He still seems to be working hard on it, and there’s not many details surrounding it, not even a proper Steam page setup. This is also yet another solo developer venture, and it seems to use the same engine that Stardew Valley uses, which is a smart use of something that already works. According to Eric Barone (ConcernedApe), he thinks they game will be ready in a span of 5 years or less. While we hope our species is still kicking by then, we still have plenty of Stardew to explore.

ConcernedApe cares about quality

PC gamers often complain about delays, but it is important to take into account that quality games really take time to be developed, specially by a single person. Since this is in the hands of the creator of Stardew Valley, we know that this game will be a hit. Your role is tending a Chocolate shop in a haunted castle, and gathering ingredients is essential to progress and create multiple recipes. This seems to be a cool spin on the usual simulator formula, as there will be RPG elements too.

Hanuted Chocolatier will go deeper into the Action RPG ideas that Stardew Valley didn’t manage to flesh out, and it will be the main draw. Along with this, the game won’t focus on a town like Stardew Valley, but on running your own Chocolate shop as a Chocolatier. It can be assumed that looting will also be an integral part of the game too, and it will probably be an important element to gather the best ingredients for the best chocolate possible. After the 1.6 update on Stardew Valley, Eric has been laser focus on expanding Haunted Chocolatier with tons of quality.
