Zenless Zone Zero Reveals Vivian’s Signature W-Engine

HoYoverse’s urban action RPG, Zenless Zone Zero, has officially revealed the signature W-Engine for its upcoming S-Rank character, Vivian. The W-Engine, named “Flight of Fancy,” promises to provide powerful boosts for Ether characters and Anomaly-focused teams, enhancing the game’s combat mechanics.

Anomaly is a crucial element in Zenless Zone Zero. Players build up Attribute Anomaly by repeatedly attacking enemies with the same Attribute. Reaching max Anomaly on enemies grants powerful bonuses, such as increased damage or debuffs. Vivian, one of the two playable characters debuting in Version 1.7, is expected to significantly enhance Anomaly teams. She will likely be a strong teammate for Anomaly DPS characters like Miyabi and Yanagi.

The “Flight of Fancy” S-Rank W-Engine boasts Anomaly Proficiency as its primary stat. When fully leveled to Level 60, it grants the wearer 713 Base ATK and an impressive 90 Anomaly Proficiency. Its unique ability, “Silver-Spiked Feathers,” increases Anomaly Buildup Rate by 40%. Additionally, when the equipper deals Ether DMG, their Anomaly Proficiency increases by 20 for 5 seconds, stacking up to 6 times. This effect can trigger once every 0.5 seconds, with repeated triggers resetting the duration.

Vivian’s debut marks the first character in Zenless Zone Zero’s playable roster to combine the Ether Attribute with the Anomaly Specialty. While initially providing a limited boost to Anomaly characters, the W-Engine’s generic stat boosts make it a valuable option for any future Ether Anomaly characters. To trigger its unique buff, the character only needs to deal Ether damage.

Vivian and her signature W-Engine are set to launch with Version 1.7 on April 23rd. In addition to Vivian, Hugo Vlad will also debut in the second half of Version 1.7 as an Ice Attack character. Hugo featured prominently in the Version 1.6 update’s main story and appeared as the “Abyssal Enforcer” boss. With these two highly-anticipated characters, Zenless Zone Zero looks to be ending its “first season” on a high note.
