Zenless Zone Zero is gearing itself for a monumental overhaul of its in-game map system in Version 2.0’s latest update. Among other things, the update introduces a visual shakeup of its fast travel mode as well as the addition of a new map for locations. This new map will take over the existing slider method with an on-screen New Eridu map, demonstrating proximity between certain locales. It aims to provide players with a more intuitive and visually interactive way of navigating the game world.
Version 2.0 will bring an all-new region to Zenless Zone Zero: the Waifei Peninsula, in addition to new characters and story content. The Waifei Peninsula has been created with Chinese-themed art themes, like settings such as the Failume Heights city and the Suibian Temple. The new areas have been stated as being larger compared to old sites, giving players more freedom.
Aside from the new locations and map revision, Version 2.0 will also come with three new playable characters: Yixuan, Pan Yinhu, and Ju Fufu. Yixuan was said to bring a totally new Attribute and Specialty to the game, which will enrich the combat system.
The patch will also add new game mechanics, including a management-style mini-game in the Suibian Temple based on the “Random Play” video shop framework. New areas, such as Aerospace City and the Lemnian Hollow, will also be added in the Version 2.0 patch.
The map update and Version 2.0 are coming out on June 4, promising a wealth of new content and adjustments for Zenless Zone Zero players. This update comes after the Version 1.7 update, which added two new characters by the names of Vivian and Hugo and brought back the “Grand Marcel Adventure” mini-game. With a new map, fresh locales like Failume Heights and Aerospace City, and the arrival of Yixuan, Pan Yinhu, and Ju Fufu, Version 2.0 is shaping up to be a significant expansion for Zenless Zone Zero.
