Valve made $100 million this month thanks to CSGO scam boxes

Valve made a whooping $100 million this month just by selling loot boxes in their games. CS2 is one of the biggest releases they had these years, and just by passively letting it be, they already generate millions. It is a reality that Valve does not care about harming children by letting them start gambling at an early age. In fact, they do recognize this is something that is happening as you read this news piece, but that provides lots of money to them. The gaming industry is truly rotten to the core, and only indie games can save it from its demise.

Valve made millions on scams

We still aren’t sure about laws regarding this, but Valve made things in such a way they can get out scotch free. More laws shall be enforced to regulate such terrible behaviors that harm what once was a beautiful industry. None of this would have happened in the 90s, and it would have been regulated to hell and back. However, here we are, and we are seeing how our hobby crumbles thanks to greed and tariffs.

As the price of gaming skyrockets, people and especially kids will lean more into these sorts of “games”. Games with predatory measures that ensure you will spend all your money in them, yet, people will claim its the fault of the victims. Just like Casinos, it is important to regulate these practices that are seeping into the virtual world. The real reason these sort of “games” are so successful is not because they are good, but because they employ terrible manipulation techniques to get you in a cycle of expending.

We as players have to ensure that people are informed of the situation, and direct them to better and more honest indie games that bring quality instead if blight. Valve made a big mistake, and its going to cost them.
