Titanfall 3 is not coming, not even to PC. Jeff Grubb himself has come to dismiss the rumors going around. He is a trustworthy source when it comes to proper gaming news, and in fact managed to shot down many fake leaks about games coming out. We have to take into account that this series is pretty much dead, being published by EA actually breaks many deals. There is no reason for the series to continue either, especially if quality is on the line. Each time a new sequel or remake comes out in today’s gaming world, it ends up being broken. We at Infinite Start will discuss this common industry issue.
As franchises grow, and companies get even richer, creativity is taken away from what was once amazing and filled with soul. This is a very common thing we see with lots of media, especially video games. Capitalism naturally exists to erode freedom of expression through art, and since game development is an art itself, it is also bound to degrade.
Games are being made nowadays to primarily appeal to the masses, which are the lowest common denominator and don’t ask for even a bit of quality. Titanfall 3 is totally out of the question, due to the fact that Titanfall as an IP itself is just niche. Niche things fall into obscurity and are often pushed away in favor of more trendy popular things.
Nowadays, what sells is not necessarily what is good. The things that sell today are those who have a ton of publicity behind, despite them not being that good. As Youtubers and uninformed consumers keep promoting these low effort cashgrabs, the industry will lean more towards enshittification. People are able to stop these things from happening, and this can be done by not buying more slop.
