Star Wars Battlefront 2 is an insult to the Star Wars Battlefront series of games, and completely kills of the popular PC series. Currently, hackers are destroying the game left and right, making it impossible to actually even play it. This is a thing that EA Games deserves for basically remaking a classic into unplayable monetized slop with loot boxes. I’m in favor of hackers ruining the game to make EA Games bleed money out. Adding pay to win elements to a classic while remastering it sounds like a nightmare no original fan of the game wanted to face. We at Infinite Start will cover what can happen next.
A way to protest against the current industry trends is by hacking everything these corporate driven suits push out. By doing this, reviews plummet and players stop playing, their live service dreams become shattered. When this happens, revenue for the game goes low, and they have to kill it since its an always online title. It is easier said than done, since there’s always conditioned consumers who will keep spending on this kind of slop.
Thankfully, hackers are able to remove entire player counts from games if they try hard enough. Star Wars Battlefront 2 deserved this, and now cheaters are fighting the good fight indirectly. If EA does not respond to the cheating scandal happening, it will leave yet another big mark in their history. People were warned that Star Wars Battlefront 2 was microtransaction filled slop with pay to win mechanics, but they didn’t listen.
Nowadays, thanks to this game, most big players in the industry are starting to do the same exact things. This will undoubtedly cause a big collapse in the gaming sphere, a potential crash that only indie games will survive, due to their quality and passion put behind each project.
