Overwatch 2 Announces End-of-Season Twitch Drops

With Season 15 of Overwatch 2 ending, Blizzard Entertainment is releasing a new set of Twitch Drops to thank dedicated viewers. Fans who tune in and watch any Overwatch 2 stream on Twitch for an hour or more on April 21st will be rewarded with a collection of cosmetic rewards inspired by the Legendary Bai Ze Kiriko skin.

This special campaign provides an opportunity for players to obtain the Bai Ze Kiriko Spray, Player Icon, and Namecard. These unique rewards are cosmetic and complement the cinematic Bai Ze Kiriko skin, which remakes the support hero as a majestic, horned lion monster of Chinese mythos. In addition to these cosmetics, viewers who tune in for the entire hour also get a Battle Pass Tier Skip for free, which will give them a minor acceleration of progress in the ongoing season.

To be able to interact and receive these rewards, the users need to have both their Battle.net and Twitch accounts connected. When the watch time milestones are achieved, the drops become redeemable using the user’s Twitch inventory. The cosmetic rewards earned and Battle Pass Tier Skip will then be automatically unlocked in Overwatch 2.

It must be mentioned that the Bai Ze Kiriko Legendary skin itself is not part of this Twitch Drop promotion. The skin is available to be obtained now as part of the Season 15 Ultimate Battle Pass bundle, although it may be sold individually in the future.

This Twitch Drop comes at a time when Overwatch Champions Series Champion Clash drops are completed, giving viewers another chance to win in-game items through streaming Overwatch 2 content on Twitch. This trend of providing time-based cosmetics through Twitch watchtime has been typical, causing commotion among the game community and allowing players to personalize their in-game profiles with individualized character.
