Nvidia’s surprising act of kindness gives us PhysX in 2025

Nvidia has decided that PhysX, along with FlowGPU, should be open sourced. These news are amazing for those who are PC users in general, an epic win dare I say. It is known that older 32 bit games, or games that used engine bugs to be coded, do not work well on newer hardware at all. Thankfully, with the release of PhysX as an open source project, people can get working into implementing solutions to this problem. Whatever the message Nvidia might have sent to us, it is important to have such a powerful piece of code at our disposal. People are busy cloning that repository so they can ensure it remains safe from any change of heart the green giant might have. Now, modders are as happy as kids in a candy store, since they now have the power to restore those classics to make them work on newer systems.

People still wish to honor the past that games had, so doing this to be able to play classics is a no brainer.
