Monster Crown sequel has been funded with success for 2025

Monster Crown Sin Eater is a sequel of the rather amateurish Monster Crown indie title released in 2020 for PC. Despite all of the issues that Monster Crown has, it is quite the ambitious Pokémon clone and better than Pokémon in many aspects. We can hope that Monster Crown Sin Eater will be less amateurish and more professional, and from the looks of it, it seems that will be the case. The original game was the first project of its creator at Studio Aurum, so it is understandable it would be quite unstable and unsustainable. We at Infinite Start will cover this new sequel.

Monster Crown is back

From the looks of it, Sin Eater is far more advanced, promising a proper crossbreeding system like never seen before. One nifty thing about this series is the ability to create your own sub breeds, and even find them in the wild occasionally. Thanks to the ambitious scope of this game however, it is riddled with tons of bugs and severe data wipe issues, its disastrous. Studio Aurum opted to make a new sequel to actually code all systems from scratch and keep what worked.

The original creator behind Monster Crown is very receptive to critique, however, any update for the original is out of the question. Being under a different more experienced hand, Sin Eater is set to fix everything that the original did wrong, especially the game killing bugs. Many find it baffling that the game couldn’t stay in early access for longer, but if you look outside of the bugs, its a nifty game for being a first solo developed title code wise.

The demo for Monster Crown Sin Eater is out now, and players can finally enjoy what the original game should have been. If you are interested in it, download the new demo that keeps expanding with content, and wishlist the full release.
